The Byron Bay Triathlon is proudly run as a not-for-profit event, hosted by the Byron Tri Club and Byron Bay Cycle Club alongside NXsports.

Each year local community organisations volunteer their time to assist with the event in exchange for a community grant, valued up to $1100. Previous groups have included the Byron Bay Scouts, Bangalow Men’s Shed, Byron Bay AFL Club, Rainbow Dragon Boaters and Byron Youth Service.

This year the event has expanded their program to incorporate other community activities including a Fun Run and Ocean Swim.

All proceeds from the Sunday 5km Mothers Day Fun Run will donated to The Family Centre.

The Family Centre will distribute funds raised directly to children, families and young people they work with impacted by the floods in the Ballina, Byron and Tweed Shires.

The Family Centre have been working in the community for over 30 years and each year they support over 4,000 children, families and young people. Many of these people have been affected by the recent floods.

All funds raised will provide support to flood affected people in our community – helping locals to get back on their feet.

Alongside local community groups, NXsports actively seeks out local and youth workers when planning for our events.
