the place, the race, the party!

WELCOME TO RACE WEEK

AQUATHLON UPDATE

After reviewing the forecast surf conditions and in consultation with Water Safety and our Technical Delegate, we have decided to change to the format of tomorrow morning’s Aquathlon in the interest of safety.

As a result, the swim has been changed to two 500m swims with a 500m beach run.  Your run course distance has been reduced to account for the beach run distance.

The updated map has been emailed to all competitors, and is now in the Athlete Guide.

The safety committee will review the conditions tomorrow morning prior to the start and we will overview the course with you in the pre-race briefing prior to start.

Thank you for your understanding.

G'day

Iconic in destination, with a spectacular ocean swim, combined with Byron’s much-loved relaxed vibe… it’s easy to see why the Byron Bay Tri is one of Australia’s favourite end of season celebrations.

Proudly hosted by the Byron Tri Club and Byron Bay Cycle Club alongside NXsports.

Byron Bay Triathlon is proudly supported by a grant through the NSW Government’s Regional Events Acceleration Fund, which aims to support the social and economic recovery and prosperity of Regional NSW.

Take your pick of a Relay (one leg per team member) or All In Team (every leg for every team member). There is also a Relay for our Big Kids who may like to race with their buddies!

Plus, thanks to Stone & Wood all team entries come with a 4-pack of Stone & Wood! Can’t say no to that! (sorry Kids, this is for Adults only)

The Byron Bay Triathlon is proudly run as a not-for-profit event, hosted by the Byron Tri Club and Byron Bay Cycle Club alongside NXsports.

Each year local community organisations volunteer their time to assist with the event in exchange for a community grant, valued up to $1100. Previous groups have included the Byron Bay Scouts, Bangalow Men’s Shed, Byron Bay AFL Club, Rainbow Dragon Boaters and Byron Youth Service.

Alongside local community groups, NXsports actively seeks out local and youth workers when planning for our events. You can learn more through the link below.
