THE PLACE. THE RACE.
THE PARTY!
Iconic in destination, with a spectacular ocean swim, combined with Byron’s much-loved relaxing atmosphere…it’s easy to see why the Byron Bay Tri is one of Australia’s favourite end of season celebrations.
Proudly hosted by the Byron Tri Club and
Byron Bay Cycle Club alongside NXsports.
11 - 14 May 2023
As they say ‘slow down – chillout – you’re in Byron now’ and that’s the same for those who race or party on the Tri weekend.
Since 1995 families, clubs, teams and friends set their calendar to meet up on the Mother’s Day weekend for some multi fun.
Known as the annual end of season celebration for Teams and families. Sprint, Kids and Aquabike are the new growing events.
The Byron Tri actively encourages participation from all abilities, and is happy to accommodate those with additional needs or access requirements. Whether you are a seasoned para-athlete or a parent looking for a fun and safe activity for your child, please get in touch with our friendly team.
*Subject to police and council permits.

LOCAL CAUSES
The Byron Bay Triathlon is proudly run as a not-for-profit event, hosted by the Byron Tri Club and Byron Bay Cycle Club alongside NXsports.
Each year local community organisations volunteer their time to assist with the event in exchange for a community grant, valued up to $1100. Previous groups have included the Byron Bay Scouts, Bangalow Men’s Shed, Byron Bay AFL Club, Rainbow Dragon Boaters and Byron Youth Service.
All proceeds from the Sunday 5km Mothers Day Fun Run was donated to The Family Centre, helping local flood victims. $1320 in total was raised.
Alongside local community groups, NXsports actively seeks out local and youth workers when planning for our events. You can learn more through the link below.
