Absolutely! The Discover Tri program is designed for beginners as a healthy weekend activity for families. Our crew and volunteers are onsite ready to assist with any questions and guide them through the swim, ride and run.
The event is not timed and every child receives a medal at the finish – it’s all about the fun experience!
There is the option for children who may be nervous about the swim, ride or run to skip one of the legs. We do encourage them to do the other two however, to get their multi-fun experience.
Parents can choose between the Triathlon (swim, ride, run), Duathlon (run, ride, run) or the Aquathlon (swim, run) at checkout.
There is the option for parents to take part with their child for the Discover Tri. Kids who want to take it on themselves will start first, with the Kids who want to take it on alongside a parent a few seconds later. Parents will bring their own bike, helmet and gear and complete all three legs alongside their child.
As long as the accompanying adult is over 18 we are happy for a friend or loved one to compete alongside your child. Just ensure their information is included in your child’s entry.
